About the Client 

Sporting Kansas City is a Major League Soccer (MLS) team – the top tier of soccer in the United States and Canada. Founded in 1995, the club is based in Kansas City, Kansas, and plays its home games at the state-of-the-art Children’s Mercy Park stadium, which offers fans a range of exciting experiences.

Challenge 

Sporting KC, Populus and Turner Construction needed a dependable partner who could comprehend the extent and magnitude of the project to work efficiently. Communication was also critical, as many stakeholders were involved and regular updates for all were needed to keep everyone informed. The successful partner would have to be a dependable, experienced and knowledgeable team who could provide the necessary expertise to help ensure the project’s success.

Solution 

Facility Systems, Inc. collaborated with Sporting KC key stakeholders to renovate the UMB Bank Field Club at During the renovation, Facility Systems, Inc. provided diverse options for the products while presenting transparent pricing and installation timelines for the project. One key product was the Solar Innovations operable partitions that were installed. This saved the client both time and money as compared to traditional ceiling-mounted partitions. During this project, Facility Systems, Inc. also assisted in the furniture speciation process with Populous to find furniture solutions that would meet the budget and schedule requirements for the project.  

Result 

As a result of Sporting KC’s partnership with Facility Systems, Inc., we were to help Turner Construction ensure the project was completed on time before the soccer season started while providing a new operable partition system that would allow more flexibility to the UMB Field Club to host events.
