Because workstations play such a large role in an office’s design, it’s no surprise we receive a lot of questions about them. Today, we pulled together five FAQ’s and supplied answers to each below.
How much do they cost?
New, 6×6 or 6×8 workstations typically cost between $2,000 and $4,000. These prices often vary based on finishes, size and features.
How soon can I have my workstation?
The lead time for workstations is typically four to six weeks after it is ordered. However, some manufacturers offer a quick ship program, which allows products to deliver within 10 to 15 business days.
When should we start coordinating the installation, and who should be involved?
The furniture supplier, electrician and general contractor should all meet prior to installation. In fact, these three should get together before any systems furniture is ordered. This allows them to coordinate the installation sequence and electrical requirements.
Can this system grow with our company?
Most workstations are pretty flexible. However, we recommend you have a designer help you explore and vet systems before you order, as this can vary.
There are lots of finish options. How do I decide?
Consider these elements when selecting workstation finishes:
- Company culture.
- The building’s interior finishes.
- Budget.
- How furniture is used by employees.
- The durability and flexibility needed.
- The length of time you plan to keep it.
